The “STM Knowledge: Made in Portugal” project, coordinated by Ana Duarte Rodrigues,, makes the research carried out at CIUHCT accessible to a wide audience.

In the first edition of this program, 1100 applications were approved for funding, three of which were approved for NOVA FCT. It will thus be possible to hire 3 assistant professors for the Department of Applied Social Sciences and CIUHCT will now have the chairs of History of Science, History of Technology and Studies in Science and Technology (STS).

On July 8, at 3 p.m., in the FCT NOVA Library Auditorium, there was the launch of the books Comunicar Ciência e Tecnologia: Os livros de divulgação científica da Editora Gradiva no ensino superior, by Inês Navalhas; O Significado do Património Ferroviário, by Breno Borges; and O Instituto Nacional de Investigação Científica: Percurso e Influência na Política Científica Portuguesa (1976-1992), by Hugo Soares.

CIUHCT is encouraging applications for doctoral scholarships under the protocol between the Foz Côa Foundation and FCT.IP, through the research unit and associated doctoral programs - Doctoral Program in History, Philosophy and Heritage of Science and Technology (NOVA School of Science and Technology) and Doctoral Program in History of Science (FCUL).
