In Memoriam Faidra Papanelopoulou (27 January 1978 – 7 February 2016)

In the banquete of the 2014's STEP meeting, in Lisbon, celebrating the 15-year anniversary of STEP

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing away of our dear colleage and friend Faidra, yesterday, February 7. Known by many CIUHCTers for her active contribution of the STEP international group, she was a member of its Steering Committee, and organised its meeting in Corfu, Greece, in 2012, the same year her disease was first detected. She was a great scholar, an enthusiast of History of Science and Technology, a very sensitive person, and a great companion. We had the privilege to know her and share her friendship. She left us very soon, but will remain among us.
