Honorable Mention in the Victor Sá Award for Contemporary History 2015 to Researcher Francisco Malta Romeiras

The Conselho Cultural da Universidade do Minho has distinguished CIUHCT researcher Francisco Malta Romeiras with the Honorable Mention in the Victor Sá Award for Contemporary History 2015, based on his work on Ciência, Prestígio e Devoção: Os Jesuítas e a Ciência em Portugal (séculos XIX e XX) [Science, Prestige and Devotion: Jesuits and Science in Portugal (19th-20th Centuries).

The award was created 24 years ago by Doctor Victor Sá. The Contemporary History award highlights research work on the Contemporary History of Portugal and is destined to young scholars, having become the most reputed prize in this field, at the national level.

CIUHCT compliments Francisco Malta Romeiras for this prize and wishes for a continuation of the success his work has been receiving.
