Kranzberg Lecture 2022, with Maria Paula Diogo
On September 25th, Maria Paula Diogo gave the Kranzberg Lecture 2022, titled Time and Human Agency: how can historians of technology contribute to present day debates.
The Kranzberg Lecture was part of the second stretch of the ICOHTEC Annual Congress, which took place virtually, on the 24th and 25th of September.
The invitation to give the Kranzberg Lecture is the highest distinction awarded by the International Committee for the History of Technology (ICOHTEC). The first Kranzberg Lecture was given by renowned historian of technology Angus Buchanan, taking place in Lisbon, in 1998, at the 25th ICOHTEC Meeting, in the presence of Melvin Kranzberg's widow and son.
