- 3 FCT-Tenure positions (NOVA FCT)

In the first edition of this program, 1100 applications were approved for funding, three of which were approved for NOVA FCT. It will thus be possible to hire 3 assistant professors for the Department of Applied Social Sciences and CIUHCT will now have the chairs of History of Science, History of Technology and Studies in Science and Technology (STS).

On July 8, at 3 p.m., in the FCT NOVA Library Auditorium, there was the launch of the books Comunicar Ciência e Tecnologia: Os livros de divulgação científica da Editora Gradiva no ensino superior, by Inês Navalhas; O Significado do Património Ferroviário, by Breno Borges; and O Instituto Nacional de Investigação Científica: Percurso e Influência na Política Científica Portuguesa (1976-1992), by Hugo Soares.

Paula Medeiros was a finalist for the ARCHIPRIX 2024 National Prize, with her master's thesis Conventinho da Arrábida: History, Landscape and Sustainable Water Management, and AAna Duarte Rodrigues received an honorable mention as co-supervisor.
