Visit of the Advisory Board (CEPAC) and celebration of 15 years of CIUHCT, with launch of the "CIUHCT Companion" book

On March 17, 2023, the Advisory Board for Scientific Counseling visited. The event, which took place in the Sala de Atos of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, was attended by María M. Portuondo (Johns Hopkins), Kapil Raj (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) and Matteo Valleriani (Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte).

At the end of the meeting, the first 15 years of the CIUHCT were celebrated with the launch of the CIUHCT Companion, coordinated by Ana Simões and Maria Paula Diogo. The FCUL Director Luís Carriço and Deputy Director Margarida Santos Reis were present at the launch and celebration.

The CIUHCT Companion aims to present the main results of the decade and a half of research that took place after the creation of the Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology (CIUHCT), in 2007. It's comprised of translations of articles, originally published in English, chosen by the coordinators of this volume, and CIUHCT coordinators until 2019, which were considered crucial, on conceptual, methodological and content levels, for the HCTM and that, additionally, reflected the scientific agenda and international composition and projection of this research unit.
