CIUHCT applications with high approval rate in Scientific Employment Stimulus 2018

The portuguese Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia has published the results of its program Scientific Employment Stimulus 2018, which will fund new individual research contracts for post-doctoral fellows. CIUHCT highlights the exceptionally high approval rate of the applications it has supported — a 50% success rate, compared to a global average of 12% among portuguese research units. Six new research positions will be funded through this mechanism, allowing for the integration of new scholars in History of Science, Technology, and Medicine, including one in the Leading Researcher category, meaning, "with proven leadership in the research area".
