New CIUHCT post-doctoral fellowship

We give preference to experience in research and networking, expressed in public presentations and publications, either national or international, in the fields of our research unit (History of Sciences, Technology, Medicine, and alike), to be considered next to the number of years since the candidate's PhD degree. Skills in english (written or oral) are also required.
Work programme
Research tasks in accordance with CIUHCT's Partnership Agreement PT2020, in particular:
- Develop new research in History of Science, Technology and Medicine in association with the unit's Experts, Institutions and Globalization (EIG) group (18th-20th centuries), and in particular, in following themes, ordered by preference: STM and the city; global circulation of experts; knowledge and practices in the field of STM; popularisation of CTM; relationships between STM and political contexts;
- Active contribution for CIUHCT's flagship outputs: (i) Dictionary of Biographies of Scientists, Physicians and Engineers, (ii) Bibliography of History of Science, Medicine and Technology in Portugal, (iii) Edited Volume(s) on History of Science, Medicine and Technology in Portugal, (iv) HoST open access journal;
- Organisation of sessions in meetings, workshops, congresses, and summer schools;
- Publication in peer-reviewed journals;
- Application to supplementary funding sources as part of competitive national and international projects;
- Participation in other activities sponsored by CIUHCT and within the Department of History and Philosophy of Sciences (FCUL)
