InsSciDE Lisbon Academies'Day and Open Conference on March 22 and 23, 2022

The project H2020 InSciDE - Inventing a shared science diplomacy for Europe, will have, on March 22nd and 23rd, 2022, days open to the public as part of its closing conference, respectively at the Lisbon Academy of Sciences and at the Rectory of NOVA .
The program on March 22nd — International action of Academies: between cooperation, networking and scientific diplomacy (InsSciDE Academies' Day) —, under the responsibility of WP3 (led by Maria Paula Diogo), is dedicated to the role of academies in scientific diplomacy, with representatives from various European and African academies. The conference, which is open to the public, will take place at the Lisbon Academy of Sciences and will be inaugurated by its President.
The March 23rd program brings together the entire InsSciDE project and will also be open to the public. The InsSCiDe Open Conference, entitled Science Diplomacy, Diversity and Global South, will take place at the Rectory of NOVA (Campolide) and is organized into 4 topics that are in dialogue with the concept of technoscientific diplomacy: (i) Open Science; (ii) The Anthropocene; (iii) Technoscience and innovation diplomacy; (iv) New actors and a new definition of science diplomacy.
The InsSCiDe Open Conference will be opened by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and will feature 4 keynote lectures, one for each topic and given, respectively, by António Sampaio da Nóvoa, Sanjay Seth, John Krige and Peter McGrath. Each lecture is followed by a round table, in which several CIUHCTers will participate, and by a broad debate with the audience.
