Anthropocene Forum 2021 kicks off June 15

CIUHCT has assumed a leading role in research on the Anthropocene. Consequently, Maria Paula Diogo was invited to be the Commissioner of the Anthropocene Forum 2021, which will take place from 15 to 17 June, in Foz Côa, under the action of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education during the Portuguese Presidency of the Union European. It is organized by Ciência Viva, Côa Museum and CIUHCT.
The Anthropocene Forum 2021 will discuss the need for an EU inclusive agenda to address the challenges that arise from a rapidly changing planet by fostering critical knowledge, sustainable innovation and a new educational paradigm. It will feature the participation of the most distinguished world experts in the debate regarding the Anthropocene.
The scientific and organizing committee include professors, researchers and doctoral students from the Department of Applied Social Sciences at FCT NOVA and from the Department of History and Philosophy of Sciences at FCUL, all CIUHCT members.
