Two PhD fellowships in History of Science (FCUL), associated with ERC Project RUTTER

The research project "Making the Earth Global: Early Modern Nautical Rutters and the Construction of a Global Concept of the Earth” (RUTTER), coordinated by CIUHCT researcher Henrique Leitão, has recently been awarded an Advanced Grant by the European Research Council. It is now accepting applications for two research fellowships for PhD students.

The PhD, which will connect to the Project's research agenda, will be in the field of History of Science, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, and have a maximum duration of four years. The call is open until June 22, and the PhD program is expected to begin on September 2019. Applicants need to have completed a Master’s degree on any field upon application, or hold a first degree and a highly relevant academic or scientific curriculum, attesting to their ability to carry out studies leading to a PhD degree. Applicants should reside in Portugal for the whole duration of the fellowship.
