Joaquim Alves Gaspar at the TEDxULisboa conference

CIUHCT researcher Joaquim Alves Gaspar (PI of the project Medea Chart) will be a speaker in the upcoming TEDx ULisboa conference, taking place on May 4, at the Aula Magna of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon. The TEDx conferences are developed independently from the well-known TED Talks, but affiliated to them. They aim to stimulate public debate around themes connecting sciences and society, and are organised on a non-profit basis by volunteers.

Joaquim Alves Gaspar will join journalist and science communication professional Joana Lobo Antunes, and photojournalist Gonçalo Fonseca; the remaining speakers will be announced soon. Joaquim's keynote will be titled "Seria a Terra redonda em 1500?" [Was Earth round in 1500?].
