Henrique Leitão ​​was honoured with the Prémio Academia de Marinha 2023 for his "vast and remarkable work developed around maritime knowledge, resulting from an intense and brilliant academic, scientific and intellectual career". The award will be presented on 9 January by Admiral Gouveia e Melo.
